Drover Green Culture

As you have probably noticed, Drover sports a distinctly a 'green' theme. On a fundamental level, this color scheme represents our commitment to green technology, and environmentally sustainable development. In addition, Drover's green theme represents the green, friendly culture that we want each of our drivers to promote and sustain in their cars during all rides.

Green Energy & Eco-Friendly Ride Options

To us, Drover's green theme encapsulates our attention and dedication to preserving the environment. We are an eco-friendly company! Our dream is to be Nashville's environmentally green rideshare solution. When Drover is up and running, we will provide two hail options for riders to specifically request electric vehicles -- Drover Green and Drover Green Giant. Drover Green will be a standard vehicle with 4 passenger seats, while Drover Green Giant will be a larger vehicle with 6 passenger seats. See more info on our [Ride with Drover] page.

By having a designated space for fully electric vehicles within the Drover app, we hope to provide an incentive for owners of electric cars to drive for us and of course, for riders to request them. Moreover, we look forward to potentially offering discounted lease options to our Drovers (drivers), which could allow our Drovers to afford brand new fully electric vehicles with a lower carbon footprint (zero emissions) and lower upkeep costs (electric energy vs gasoline).

Drover Green Culture During Our Rides

We want our Drover rides to feel as comfortable as possible. As such, Drover's Green Culture policies require drivers to maintain certain standards of conduct and quality. Our drovers are professional and required to wear proper clothes. Additionally, drivers are encouraged to keep their cars clean. Furthermore, drivers are asked to provide water bottles for passengers as well as complimentary green mints. We feel these complimentary items will set the mood for a great ride!

We also encourage standard procedures for every ride; drivers should ideally open doors for riders at the beginning of the ride. During the ride, we expect the car to be a fun, friendly, and uplifting environment. Part of Drover Green Culture is the celebration of moving people -- we are excited to see how our drivers and riders will benefit from meeting each other, even for just a few moments.

Green Culture in the Community

Green is the color of growth. Without being corny, note that plants and trees are green... without these vital components of our ecosystem, life on earth would change as we know it. In the same way that a seed grows into a tree, Drover recognizes the value a seed of knowledge, learning, or inspiration can have on an individual. Moreover, we recognize that a seed of service in a city can lead to a movement of greatness. Accordingly, Drover will donate 2% of every single ride fare (24/7) to Tennessee-based charities chosen by the Drover (driver) every month. A list of 20 local and Tennessee based charities will be sent out every month for the driver to choose from. Plus, the 2% will come from Drover's 20% split of every fare -- so all drivers will still get a full 80% split of fares. Consider it like a 80/18/2 split, where drivers get 80%, Drover gets 18%, and charities get 2%.

In this way, Drover's Green Culture perhaps the three most important facets of our company -- 1) environmentally friendly ridesharing, 2) friendly, safe, and moving rides, 3) intentional community outreach and philanthropy. We welcome you to become a part of Drover's Green Culture either as a rider or driver when we are up and running!
